Jessica Begeman

Ms. Begeman earned her J.D. from the  University of California, Davis in 2009.  Prior to receiving her J.D., Ms. Begeman worked for a law firm specializing in condominium law in Chicago, IL.  She received her B.S. with distinction in Anthropology-Zoology, and with highest honors in Sociology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Honor’s Program.   She joined GOLD and HAMMES in 2009.

Ms. Begeman was a member of the UC-Davis Business Law Journal, serving on its Submissions Committee (2007-2008), and as an Executive Editor (2008-2009).  She also was instrumental in developing and distributing the ACLU’s 2008 survey for the California Commission on the Fair Administration of Justice on DA charging practices in California death penalty cases.  In 2009, Ms. Begeman’s dedication to public service was recognized when she was named a Public Service Award recipient by University of California–Davis Law School.
